MEDITATION ON 7 LAST WORDS OF CHRIST. – . 30 MARCH. POETRY, MUSIC AND SILENCE.-. DON PATTERSON AND MARIE-ELSA BRAGG

On Good Friday (30th March 2018), Revd Marie-Elsa Bragg and Poet and guitarrist Don Patterson will be hosting an intimate evening at St James’ Church in north west London.
Poetry and the Sacred: A candle-lit evening of poetry, ritual, music and silence on the last 7 words of Christ.
Readings will be from Don Patterson’s translations of Rilke’s poems about Orpheus and his journey into and out of the underworld.
On Good Friday the 7 last words of Christ are traditionally said through the evening with silence between each one. A meditation on the dismantling of word and event while waiting with the sacred.
Music will be by Don Patterson and guests.
